My first sponsored GIVE AWAY

Standard

 My first sponsored give away.

My first give away is sponsored by the brilliant, and highly esteemed, January Baby. She has given me a set of Smitten Mitten’s to give away. These smittens are one of the best baby products that I have come across they really are the, “no-escape mittens” like the package say’s. How many times have you said to yourself, “If I had a penny for ever time I picked up shoes, toys, or put mittens on  after they fell off in the snow I’d be rich”? I don’t have a solution for the shoes and toy’s but January Baby has the solution for mittens. I love these mittens all the time but I especially appreciate them when I do not have to untangle mittens on string in the car seat. These mittens are size small so recommended for 0-12 months. However, my sweet pea is 16 months and she fits them just fine.  And you, sitting at your computer anticipating the next outing could have the convenience of these mittens for FREE. All you have to do is make a comment to this post and introduce yourself. I love to get comments and I would like to know who is out there. So that is it. Easy enough I think. Oh right, I almost forgot how will I choose the winner?  Based on comment? The most smitten by the mittens? That definitely sound the best, but flattery about my blog and loyalty could get some points too? I do so love to be loved….augh!! What to do, what to do? …… well I’ll tell you what, if it is not obvious who the winner should be I will use a random number generator to choose the winner on Sunday Jan 20 and you can comment as many times as you want. I don’t think that the six of you out will crash my server!!  I will only ship to the U.S and Canada.  Let the games begin, the comments roll in and my  stats give me  perma-grin !!!

About karynforyou

Thank you for stopping by. I am a wife, mother to three daughters and homeschooler. It`s my intention to encourage, strengthen and laugh with friends. If you were stopping by my home you would find a sink full of dishes, books and paper strewn about but plenty of seats available for extra guests and the kettle on for tea... I may need to be reminded a few times before the tea is actually brewed. I`m blogging to help me keep focused. I will post about parenting, marriage, homeschooling, homemaking, and I`m sure there will be a few trips to the sewing room from time to time. If you have a post idea or question please feel free to contact me, I will get back to you.

  3. Karen, I looked for long mittens for my kids this year, but couldn’t swallow the $20 (per child!) price tag! We have done okay with hand-me-down mittens this year.

I think homemade “Smittens” would be great, have thought about trying to make some? (I am so un-crafty, I can never guess what can be made at home!) I bet you could do it!

  4. Well, I feel as though I’m cheating a bit. I saw the mittens this morning, and yes, I’m “smitten”! They’re great! So, here’s my attempt to hook my little girl up with a pair!

  5. Brianna, Thank you for yor confidence in my skills, I probably could make smitten mittens but they would not look as nice as January Baby’s but more importantly the designer and owner of January Baby has become my friend so I could’nt take her idea. I know about cutting costs, but I have also decided that my sanity is worth somthing so if I do come across mitten’s that will work for my Sunshine I am am almost ready to donate my right hand to science to buy them. (fortunately, for my right hand, mittens that really work are not easy to come by)

  6. Hey Karen,
Thanks for all your handy little tips and ideas on your blog! I live vicariously through you as I just don’t have the creativity and ambition you do….although I do love reading about all your new recipes and inventions so keep it up! As for the mittens…they sure would work out great in this arctic weather we’re having!

  7. My princess has cute adorable hand knit mittens that her grandma made that hang from a string out the ends of her coat sleeves. And that is where they remain… hanging at the end of a string! I put them on numerous times and she continuously pulls them off despite the fact that she is screaming due to nearly frostbitten fingers she refuses to leave them on! So if smitten mittens can stay on despite her tugging, I’m all for that!!

my little wrenny is a 15 month old outdoor enthusiast. she loves to eat snow face down, she loves to slidewith lightening speed down the fiberglass yellow slide rigged up in our back yard, and she even likes to try to play hockey with a mini stick.
she however does Not like to keep on her mitts.
your smittens would keep her from red fingers and teary eyes
your little smitties would bring sunshine and joy to our lives.
your sewing will transform my parenting and planet eart.
world peace will follow warm hands.
and also-every little redhead needs some smitten in her life.

    upgrade complete.

  10. Hey Booger, What’s up?!

Thanks for commenting on my blog. (You didn’t have to sign up to comment, though.) Yours looks great. I don’t know how you have the time for this kinda stuff, but I’m impressed. I wish all the time I could be more creative. I’m trying though.

Does the fact that I still have the pillowcase you made me out of that old dress you had for so long count for something? It doesn’t match a blessed thing but it’s memorabilia from days gone by…

I still think that picture of Chantel crying on the scale in the bathroom is hilarious and it could probably be bought!

    Talk to you later,
    Geniene
